North Node, aka the dragon’s head -Rahu in Vedic astrology- is not a planet but a mathematical point in the natal chart. However, its influence on the native is fairly significant. (I believe it is as important as the Ascendant.)
Briefly, in ancient mythology, a dragon disguised itself as a blonde lady to trick gods and to be able to drink from the juice of immortality. Basically, it sneaked its way to have a social jump/ have privileges without earning them.

North Node at its best
Wherever you have North Node in your birth chart, you can make social jumps in that particular area of life. (ie: if it is in the 10th house social jump via career, or in the 7th house through a marriage partner.)
If the native has the right consciousness and self-awareness, and healthy ego, he/she can make a huge change in his/her life in a very positive way. As the North Node- Rahu- is very materialistic it gives tremendous material manifestation in that area of life that is associated with the house it is located in the natal chart. And that is the subject of life that is unfamiliar, foreign to the native and hasn’t been experienced yet. Rahu there makes sure one experiences those subjects of life beyond measure.
Sometimes somewhere down the line, opportunities come for the native so Rahu can give tangible results. And it is rather opportunistic. But the North Node has a dark side too…
What is the dark side of the dragon’s head (Rahu in Vedic astrology)?
In other words, the North Node is a demonic influence in the natal chart and must be handled with care. BUT it is the exact area of life –where the North Node is located- where you can make a social jump and privileges, it only requires proper consciousness and self-awareness.
We all have the North Node somewhere in the birth chart, and tempting “opportunities” or offers appear in that area of life.
In that particular area of life, it’s very tempting to become an opportunist- as the dragon was an opportunist- or the native attracts people who disguise themselves, and don’t show their true colors… Again, one must be very careful with North Node!
Let’s see some exciting examples on celebrities’ charts!
One of the best examples to use is Prince Harry’s chart. The opportunist and demonic influence can be done by the native or done by someone else to the native. North Node is where either you are a trickster, or someone else is a trickster to you in that particular subject of life the North Node is touching in the natal chart.
In his chart, the dragon’s head aka Rahu is in conjunction with the 7th house (marriage partner) lord, the Moon. Meaning: the spouse acted like the dragon in ancient mythology. Sneaked her own way into the Royal Family and wanted privileges (wanted to be a royal) and the social jump as well… (I know these are harsh words. Though after their ridiculous “pity party” with Oprah- which already backfired- we can see how the North Node manifests in someone’s chart. Oh, btw the dragon is not afraid to lie… Its motto is “the end goal justifies the means.”)
In Prince Harry’s case, he wasn’t a trickster, he didn’t mislead anyone; he was the one who get misled by his wife. Because the 7th house ruler (spouse) is in conjunction with the North Node. (I genuinely feel sorry for him.) Also, the North Node pretends to be someone else… well, in his case, his wife pretended to be someone like his late mother. The Moon (rules the mother in general) in conjunction with the North Node.
Prince Harry’s natal chart and his North Node
It is written in Meghan Markle’s chart that…
Her North Node is in conjunction with the 2nd house lord Sun in the 2nd house. (Manifest very powerfully since North Node’s the ruler is strong) The 2nd house is the 8th (death of something) of the 7th house (1st marriage). Therefore the 2nd house represents her 2nd spouse.
Well, her 2nd house is in Leo- the sign of royals and royalty- and the 2nd house ruler, the Sun, in its own house has a very good dignity. In other words, the 2nd house matters manifest handsomely for her. It gave a husband from the British Royal Family.
As the North Node is standing together with the Sun, now we all know how their marriage happened… She wanted privileges and a significant social jump with her 2nd marriage. And these are all happening in the sign of Leo because she wanted royal privileges…
You might think to yourself, what’s wrong with that? Well, nothing. North Node achieved what it wanted. She got what she wanted. Although it could have played out differently with proper consciousness and self-awareness. I assume she is not happy now with her reputation.
One must be very careful with Rahu because if the native is not honest and truthful the crush, the downfall comes eventually.
Michael Jackson and his transformation
He had the North Node- the demonic influence- in his 8th house (transformation) in conjunction with the Ascendant ruler, Jupiter.
Wherever the Ascendant ruler is located in the chart, the native has a burning desire to manifest it ASAP. He wanted a significant transformation (8th house) on his appearance. Having the North Node there amplified his desire.
He was a multitalented genius I would doubt that he wanted that transformation for the wrong reasons to belong to a different race… As the dragon’s head can be delusional and tempting. I assume he believed that changing his appearance would make him happier or more fulfilled. Or more in peace with himself. (Located in Libra)
Jacqueline Kennedy and her 1st marriage
She had her North Node in the 7th house (1st marriage/spouse) in the sign of Taurus. Her first marriage not only gave her financial stability (Taurus) but a social jump as she became the First Lady.
