Free will or Fate?
Are you the captain of your ship and the master of your destiny? Or do you feel like your life is predestined? The astrological natal chart shows whether you have more free will or fate in your life.
Have you ever wondered if we, humans have free will or are our lives fated? And if we have free will, then to what extent? Or do fated events exist at all?
Similarly, have you ever wondered what is the reason that the law of affinity and the law of attraction “work” for some people while it looks like they don’t “work” for others?
Likewise, have you ever thought to yourself whether the super optimistic and positive-thinking Sagittarius people have the upper hand over their lives? Or are they just a bunch of lucky people?
We all have free will and fate but to a different extent. The astrological natal chart shows whether you have more free will or your life is more fated. As well if you can be more initiative or your life depends on others.
Planets in the Eastern hemisphere
Planets on the eastern hemisphere mean – on the side of the Ascendant – they are placed on the left side of the chart. In other words, planets located between the MC and IC angle,- anti-clockwise- in the 10th, 11th, 12th, 1st,2nd, and/or 3rd house.
If most of your planets are situated in this hemisphere, you are more in control of your life. It looks and feels as if your life is more in your hands. You have more free will; you can be more initiative. And that is the right approach for you to live, to be initiative. Still, you will experience fated events.
Let’s say you are about to change your job; you make an effort, and it happens. Of course, it does not necessarily happen easily, but you can eventually carry through your will and find a new job.
If you have most of your planets in the eastern hemisphere, you are more action-oriented, self-motivated, and initiative. It is advisable always to make sure what you are doing is good for the long run as you can shape your destiny. In a similar vein, it is recommended to try to consider others.
The reason is, that there is a lot of energy around the Ascendant, natives with these planetary positions can become more self-centered. (The “me me me” syndrome is its most negative manifestation.)
Planets in the Western Hemisphere
If you have more planets on the right side of your chart -on the descendant side – it means your planets are situated in the western hemisphere. (Planets located in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th houses), your life is more fated, and you depend more on other people.
You are other people-oriented. Even if you are initiative, your life depends on others and experience more fated events.
For example, someone gives you a great business idea you have never thought about, or you get a tempting job offer out of the blue. Or you spend years on dating sites, and the romantic relationship is not happening for you, and suddenly, someone introduces you to the love of your life.
What is the right approach for life with having a busy Western hemisphere? Well, firstly, develop “healthy selfishness.” Be the most important person for yourself, and try to have a laser focus on your own life. Life will take you wherever you have to be, and your destiny will unfold as it should. Adaptability is the key to you and trusting in higher powers.
What about the Pisces and Sagittarius people? Do they have more free will or fate?
Well, Pisces people (Ascendant, Sun, Moon ) are walking on the path to learn to surrender, and they develop faith in Higher Powers. Their best approach for them is to ‘let go and let God’. Pisces people intuitively know that their whole life and destiny are in the Higher Power’s (Creator, Universe, God, Buddha, you name it) hands. And Pisces people are the ones who can experience magical manifestations. Miraculous events, miraculous developments. However, learning to let go of control and surrender to Higher Power is one of the most difficult tasks to do.
On a sidetone, everyone can experience miracles wherever Pisces falls in their natal chart if they follow the principles of Pisces, aka to surrender to Higher Powers.
On the other hand, Sagittarius people are on the path to teaching others what you believe in you can create or manifest it. (I don’t necessarily mean only the law of attraction, which is very superficial. More like having the right belief system, deep faith in the Universe, having abundance consciousness, etc.)
Saturn and South Node in the natal chart and karma from previous lifetimes
Everyone has Saturn and the South Node of the Moon aka Ketu in their natal chart. Therefore everyone faces karmic lessons, encounters, and events throughout their lives. Those karmic events, encounters, and lessons might feel like fated events.
However, those who have a more “prominent” Saturn, such as on an angle or if Staurn touches a personal planet in their natal charts have a more karmic life. Not only fated, but Saturn brings them many precious- and most of the time painful- lessons to even out their karmic debt.
While the South Node behaves like background noise from previous lifetimes, especially at an early age. And again, South Node connections with other people – in synastry- might also feel fated, however, those are just here to pay off those karmic debts.
The best advice for Saturn and the South Node is to learn, mature, and grow out of it and move towards your North Node to fulfill your destiny.
Where do you have the majority of your planets? If you have planets in the eastern hemisphere, do you find freedom in being initiative? Or, if your planets are placed on the western hemisphere, can you lead your life with the least resistance and find freedom in not being in control? Let’s have a chat in the comment section below about your precious experiences with free will or fate in your own life. Cheers!
